Hello there: I’m a writer in Toronto, Canada. Am using S. Maugham’s quote from Cakes and Ale about the writer being “the only free man (person these days, I suppose).
Your blog popped up at the top of Google. I was interested to read that you stopped “soliciting” (ha-ha) to write.
I thought I’d say hello (since I’m here) and wish you good luck.
I’m using Maugham’s quote with respect to my belief that it’s not
democracy that’s threatened, endangered or in peril these days, but the
Individual. Which means writers and artists are as well, it seems to me.
All the bets as we dyslexics like to say!
